Manuscript, in a single hand, of a collection of prose extracts on religious subjects such as the Lord's Supper, conversion, prayer, and Satan. Sources of the excerpts include Hannah More's letters and Hints for the regulation of a Sunday charity school; John Flavel's Touchstone of Sincerity; Thomas Chalmers' sermon on predestination; the memoirs of Mrs. Susan Huntington of Boston, America; Caroline Fry's Scripture Reader's Guide; and Henry Blunt's Lectures upon the History of Jacob. The volume also contains religious excerpts copied from acquaintances' albums, including "from Annie's book" and "from Mrs Methuen's book."
